One-day surgery

One-day surgery (same day surgery) allows for the patient to spend post-surgery recovery at his/her home environment and with close ones, therefore speeding up overall recovery and the return to a normal life. Many diseases can be treated in this one-day manner (one-day care), therefore avoiding the need for extended hospitalization. Following local or general anesthesia, the patient can leave the surgery almost immediately or after resting shortly to continue with follow-up treatment at home. Medical fields which make use of this method of surgery include general surgery, paediatric surgery, urology, gynaecology, orthopedics and many others.

Surgical care is available not only for Canadian Medical clients who use our membership programmes, but also for self-payers who are not enrolled in a membership programme. We accept patients with either Czech health insurance or with foreign insurance on the basis of direct billing. Before undergoing a procedure, it is necessary to arrange a consultation at Canadian Medical.
