Everyone who purchases any of the membership programmes can become a client. You can find a detailed description of the programmes at https://www.canadian.cz/en/membership/. However, every client must be insured with a Czech health-insurance company or have Exclusive or Diamond health insurance for foreigners from Pojišťovna VZP, a.s

At our branches, you can use more than forty specialisations, ranging from general medicine to same-day surgery. You can find an overview of specialisations at https://www.canadian.cz/en/specializations/.

Depending on the type of membership programme, our clients can use additional services such as a personal care coordinator, expanded prevention programmes, vaccinations, consultations on their health condition via Doctor Online 24/7 and the client zone in the myCanadian application. You can find a detailed description of the programmes at https://www.canadian.cz/en/membership/

Yes. We also treat clients on a private-payer basis, i.e. the client does not use a membership programme.

Questions about examinations

Within your membership programme, you have access to the Doctor Online 24/7 service, which enables you to be examined by a doctor via chat/video chat at any time and from any place, e.g. from the comfort of your home. Our doctors respond within 30 minutes.

Yes, it is necessary to have an appointment. Samples are taken at all of our clinics in the morning hours.

You can drink, but only pure water. You many not chew or eat anything or, for example, suck on bonbons.

Yes. It is recommended that you not eat, drink, smoke or chew for four hours prior to the examination. Examinations are conducted only in the morning hours.

You must not have an acute illness at the time of vaccination. On the day of application, it is recommended that you not physically exert yourself, visit a sauna or solarium, or consume large quantities of alcoholic beverages. The interval between the initial and next vaccination must be at least two weeks. You must not take antibiotics at the time of vaccination.

The results are entered in the system and all clinics have access to them. However, nurses only inform patients of results that are normal. If there is a deviation from the norm, the results will be discussed with you by a doctor who is able to adequately interpret them and agree with you on follow-up care.

We cannot apply a vaccine in the case of which we do not know whether it was stored in the proper conditions. We apply only vaccines from our sources.

Doctors cannot dispense medications at a clinic with the exception of necessary medications needed by patients in acute condition or in the case that a sample of a medication is being dispensed. In the case of a departure, a doctor may provide a patient with a dose of medication for the period until the patient can pick up the medication at a pharmacy.

Occupational medical care

Please pick up the completed and confirmed medical fitness assessment form (three copies) in the personnel department. Take the form to the doctor, who will complete the assessment based on the examination and other requisites. Afterwards, return one copy to your employer; the second copy will be kept by the doctor in the medical documentation and the third copy is for you. Please bring an extract from the medical records from your registering physician, which is a condition for issuing the assessment. The maximum duration of the extract’s validity is 90 days from the date of issue. Do not forget to take a sample of your first morning urine and corrective vision aids (glasses, contact lenses) with you for the examination.

Take your morning urine sample and the form from your employer when you go to have your blood sample taken – if taking such a sample is a part of your examination.

We offer the possibility to make an appointment so that you do not have to wait. However, that requires that our clients arrive on time. If you are delayed, a new appointment will be made for you at the first available time. Please bear in mind that, in the case of occupational medical services, we bill the employer for scheduled examinations that are not carried out; therefore, we recommend to our clients that they arrive at the clinic at least 15 minutes early, as the time of the appointment with a doctor is the time when you enter the examination room.

Foreign insurance

Yes. In Direct Billing mode, we cooperate with more than 20 foreign insurance companies. If, however, your insurer is not among those with which we cooperate, we will be pleased to take care of you in private-payer mode.

You can find a complete list of the foreign insurers with which we cooperate on our website. https://www.canadian.cz/en/healthcare/foreign-clients/
