This year, flu vaccination will begin in November, approximately one month later than in previous years. This is due to delays in the delivery of flu vaccines to the Czech Republic.
The delay is due, among other factors, to the late identification of the candidate influenza B virus strain and delays in the availability of certain reference virus strains and laboratory reagents required for vaccine production and quality control by the World Health Organization (WHO).
We are closely monitoring the situation. As soon as flu vaccines become available, we will inform you on our website and via the myCANADIAN mobile app.
