At Canadian Medical, we have started administering Beyfortus®, which helps protect infants and young children against respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). RSV can cause serious respiratory infections in infants, such as bronchiolitis, and is one of the common causes of hospitalisation in young children.
Beyfortus® is administered as a single injection and provides protection throughout the RSV season, which typically lasts from October to March.
For children born on or after 1 April 2026, this protection is fully covered by public health insurance during their first RSV season.
