As part of my training and preparation for certification in cardiology, I worked as a doctor at the Cardiology Clinic of the FNKV, first in the standard department. Because of my interest in acute cardiology, I worked for more than a year in the cardiology intensive care unit, where I was involved in the diagnosis and treatment of acute cardiac diseases. Since January 2021, I have worked in the Valvular Defects Consultant Unit within the clinic, where I have expanded my skills to include oesophageal echocardiography, including the acquisition and interpretation of three-dimensional reconstructions of the valves and anatomical structures of the heart. I have very good experience in performing three-dimensional trans-thoracic echocardiography. I care for patients with valvular defects including the correct timing of interventional or surgical procedures. Further post-operative, follow-up and possible detection of complications and malfunction of valve prostheses is a matter of course.
