What extraordinary are available through our new centre?

A unique space in a state-of-the-art complex

The location of the beautiful building was once a factory of Walter Motors. Built at the turn of the 1920s and the 1930s, this reinforced concrete structure is part of our protected heritage. A stunning and restored area, it will now host our new centre.

In this attractive location, we have prepared 1,700 square metres where our clients will be provided with superior health care with optional facilities beyond any current standard. There will be fully equipped single rooms and an outpatient department, plus there are other top quality health services.

Surgical rooms have been added to the services

Canadian Medical aims at shifting the limits of outpatient care and offering the client surgical treatments in a wide range of branches, not only in luxurious settings, but also through appropriate methods – with skilled and experienced physicians available – and the latest technology. At the site, leading specialists will provide consultations and now even offer surgical treatments in two cutting-edge, full-fledged operating rooms which are designed as multi-discipline rooms specialising in orthopaedics, surgery, gynaecology, urology, ENT, gastroenterology, and dental surgery.

In the in-patient department, there are nine single rooms available for our patients, furnished to an extraordinary level. Room privacy is guaranteed; standard features include a private toilet with a shower stall, TV, and Wi-Fi connection. No need to wait too long before you can arrange for your treatment with a doctor who knows you and will perform surgery. Our coordinator is ready to assist when arranging for the date of treatment and will provide you with all the information and instructions beforehand.

Based on the type of surgery, we will also ensure any follow-up treatment you may need. Thanks to our comprehensive care system, you can recover from your operation in more peace and quiet.

Comprehensive care

The building also hosts the Centre of Physical Medicine of Professor Pavel Kolář. From the very beginning, this world-famous therapist devoted his career to the pathology of movement in children. He founded the diagnostic and therapeutic concept of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation (DNS), which is designed for physiotherapy and for the related disciplines of medicine. Professor Kolář is the author of more than 140 scientific articles and holds a number of scientific awards.

Other specialists that can be found in the building include Professor Jan Daneš. Dedicated to mammography, Professor Daneš is one of the main personalities in the diagnosis of diseases of the breast in the Czech Republic and in Europe. He is also active as Chairman of the Mammary Diagnostics Specialist Committee of the Czech Medical Association of J. E. Purkyně (CzMA), Co-Chairman of the Association of Mammary Diagnostics Specialists in the Czech Republic and Scientific Guarantor of the mammography preventive programme of the Ministry for Health of the Czech Republic.

The building will also house x-ray and gastroenterology departments.

As part of the outpatient department, we are going to offer nine new fully-equipped medical consultation rooms where our clients can benefit from the care of a general practitioner as well as specialists in paediatrics, gynaecology, allergology, ENT, dermatology, orthopaedics, surgery, and other disciplines. Instrumentation of the rooms is completed with ultrasonic and x-ray equipment.

Underground railway station nearby

The Waltrovka complex is located very close to the Jinonice metro station – yellow line. Just cross over the pedestrian bridge which takes you directly to the front of the building. The clinic is a maximum of 5 minutes from the station at a slow walking pace.

Parking and dining services

Clients of Canadian Medical can make use of the car park in the underground garages of the building, with the first 30 minutes of parking time are free of charge. There are diverse dining facilities in Walter and throughout the complex.
