European Championships in Wheelchair Rugby

News

14. 04. 2015

It is the first time for the Czech Republic to host the European Championships in Wheelchair Rugby. The organiser of the tournament is the Czech Wheelchair Rugby Organisation, which is a member of the Czech Sports Organisation of Physically Disabled and is internationally affiliated with the International Wheelchair Rugby Federation (IWRF).

One of rugby players and a member of Czech Wheelchair Rugby Organization is our long-term employee and colleague, Jiri Plesko.

The Championships will take place from the 11th to the 18th April 2015 in Prague and there will be eight participating teams from Europe, including the Czech national team. Each team can enrol a maximum of 12 sportsmen and 8 necessary assistants. In total, more than three hundred people, including volunteers, will take part in this event. The Championships will be based in the Sports centre Třebešín. The participants will be accommodated in the Clarion Congress Hotel Prague in Vysočany. This hotel provides a sufficient amount of disabled access accommodation.

CMC is responsible for medical aid during the whole European Championships in Wheelchair Rugby.

We would like to wish to all participants lots of success in the upcoming matches, great atmosphere and mainly plenty of sport achievements without serious injuries.

The CMC Team.
