The EUC Group, for the third consecutive year, remained the general partner of a country-wide Outpatient Care Conference. This year, the event focused primarily on the fields of diabetology, general medicine as well as ethics. The prize for lifelong contribution in healthcare was awarded to MUDr. Jarmila Hrušková from EUC Premium.
Like last year, the annual MUDr. František Kölbel Prize was awarded for EXCEPTIONAL MEDICAL CONTRIBUTIONS AT EUC. For this particular award, healthcare professionals were selected not only based on their medical contributions, but also based on other aspects of their professional life including collegiality, commitment, innovation and enthusiasm at work. This year, the winner in the category for doctors was MUDr. Jana Vyskočilová from EUC Klinika Plzeň. In the non-medical staff category, the winner was Bc. Ondřej Jégl from Canadian Medical.
A special prize for LIFELONG CONTRIBUTION IN HEALTHCARE was awarded to MUDr. Jarmila Hrušková, general practitioner at EUC Premium who despite her advanced age is still dedicated to caring for her patients.
The prizes were awarded by MUDr. Barbara Taušová who leads the EUC Board of Experts along with EUC's Chairman of the Board, Ing. Václav Vachta.
The EUC Group forms the largest network of private outpatient clinics in the Czech Republic. It is the largest provider of outpatient care, premium care, breast cancer screening and occupational health services. Between 2011 and 2017, the group invested 544 million CZK into modernizing medical equipment, educating the staff as well as well as the introduction of electronic systems and services. In 28 medical facilities across the Czech Republic (including 10 premium clinics), 19 pharmacies and 14 laboratories, EUC Group employs 1886 people who currently provide medical care to 1.8 million patients annually. In the fall of 2017, it was the first such group in the medical sector in the Czech Republic to issue bonds totaling 1.4 billion CZK.
